During a fruitful virtual discussion between Afyon Kocatepe University of Turkey and Colombo University of Sri Lanka which was organized by the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Ankara on 13th May 2022, both Universities agreed to establish cooperation between the universities in order to engage in joint researches, organize symposiums, academic exchange and student exchanges.

Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Sashika Manoratne, Director International Office of University of Colombo provided a detailed briefing on the history of the University of Colombo and briefed about the collaboration areas that Afyon Kocatepe University and University of Colombo can work on.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Fatih Gungor, Deputy Director of International Relations Center of Afyon Kocatepe University shared information about the academic programmes about the University and expressed the universityโ€™s willingness to establish contact with the University of Colombo, student and academic exchanges, organizing joint symposiums and engage in joint research work.   

During the opening remarks, both sides highlighted the importance of establishing contacts between Afyon Kocatepe University of Turkey and University of Colombo of Sri Lanka since the relations between universities lighten up the next generations for the future.
