Ambassador met Mayor of Ankara Metropolitan City

Ambassador Rizvi Hassen called on Mr. Mansur Yavas, Mayor of Ankara metropolitan city recently at the head office of metropolitan city and shared experiences on measures initiated by Turkey and Sri Lanka to curb Covid -19 pandemic and importance of local government and metropolitan city authorities’ contribution towards controlling of the virus spread. Ambassador highlighted the importance of establishing cooperation between Ankara metropolitan city and provincial councils of Sri Lanka in order to share expertise on waste management, community welfare, city planning, local transportation and various other sectors significant to local communities.
