Ambassador visits Çankırı industrial zone and meets the Çankırı Chamber of Commerce & Industry

Ambassador M. Rizvi Hassen visited Çankırı industrial zone and Çankırı Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 24th March 2021 and had a constructive meeting with Mr. Hayrettin Çelikten, President of Çankırı Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Chamber officials.  

During the meeting Çankırı Chamber of Commerce & Industry showed the interest on obtaining further information on Sri Lankan Trade Chambers and business community to establish links for future cooperation. Ambassador was impressed by the facilities provided by the industrial zone for foreign investors and visited four prominent manufacturing plants in the industrial zone. The industrial zone manage by the Çankırı Chamber of Commerce & Industry and industrialists invested in the zones. As an initial step, the Mission will arrange a virtual meeting with Sri Lankan business community with the members of the Çankırı Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Çankırı is the capital city of  Çankırı province, in Turkey and Çankırı Chamber of Commerce & Industry consists of 2700 membership. Agriculture, animal husbandry, medical products, natural salt are main industries in the province.
