During a fruitful virtual discussion between Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University of Turkey and Vavuniya University of Sri Lanka which was organized by the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Ankara on 9th May 2022, both Universities agreed to establish cooperation between the universities in order to engage in joint researches, organize symposiums, academic exchange and student exchanges.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr. T. Mangaleswaran, Vice Chancellor of Vavuniya University of Sri Lanka provided a detailed briefing on the history of the Vavuniya University and briefed about the collaboration areas that Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University of Turkey and Vavuniya University of Sri Lanka can work on.
Academic staff of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University shared information about the academic programmes about the University and expressed the university’s willingness to establish contact with the Vavuniya University, student and academic exchanges, organizing joint symposiums and engage in joint research work.
During the opening remarks, Ambassador Rizvi Hassen highlighted the importance of establishing contacts between Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University of Turkey and Vavuniya University of Sri Lanka since the relations between universities lighten up the next generations for the future.
Further, two sides explored the possibilities of entering into a Memorandum of Understanding.
