The Embassy participated at the "International Friendship Day 2022" organized by the Office of the International Students of Hacettepe University on 13th May 2022.
Sri Lankan stall attracted the students, academic staff and the professionals attended at the International Friendship Day 2022 as Sri Lanka showcased unique Sri Lankan Spices, batiks and also finest Ceylon teas. Students very keenly interacted with the Embassy staff to obtain more information on Sri Lanka and its uniqueness. The visitors further enjoyed with the finest Ceylon tea.
Ambassador Rizvi Hassen was invited to the opening ceremony and the graced the Sri Lanka stand along with the Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit Guran, Rector and Prof. Dr. Serhat รnal, Vice Rector of the Hacettepe University and the other Ambassadors and distinguished invitees.
The Embassy highlighted Sri Lankan batiks and handlooms through a short fashion parade and it was one of the eye catching display of the event. The Sri Lankan batiks and handloom were attracted to the audience and received many positive remarks.
The Embassies of the 30 countries were among the other participating nations.
The University of Hacettepe, a leading state University established in 1967 and ranked at the first among the Turkish Universities by the recent study by URAP 2019. Hacettepe University has more than 53,000 students with 16 faculties and more than 37,000 academic staff.
