The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Turkey celebrated the Thai Pongal festival on 14th January 2020 with the participation of limited number of Sri Lankan community and the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey.  

Following health guidelines the Embassy took initiatives to celebrate main Sri Lankan religious and cultural festivals this year. This was the first ever “Thai Pongal” celebration at the Embassy after establishment of the resident Mission in Turkey.   The invitees were treated with traditional “Pongal” and Sri Lanka cuisines.
