Embassy commenced work for the year 2020

The staff of Sri Lanka Embassy in Ankara, Turkey ceremonially commenced work for the year 2020 with the hoisting of the National Flag of Sri Lanka at the Chancery premises by Ambassador M. Rizvi Hassen, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. A two minutes silence was also observed to commemorate war heroes and all those who sacrificed their lives on behalf of the Motherland. The staff took the Oath of the Public Service affirming their commitment to implement public policies and goals and serving the people with honesty and efficiency.

The Ambassador in his brief remarks thanked the staff for the outstanding cooperation extended to him. The Ambassador highlighted the contribution of the public service to the development of the country, and the contribution of all staff members to achieve the targets set for 2020 in furthering Sri Lanka-Turkey bilateral relations. The programme concluded with the treating traditional Sri Lankan and Turkish delicacies to the staff.
