Embassy organized virtual Investment Promotion Seminar for potential Turkish investors

The Embassy initiated and organized a virtual investment seminar on 17^th November 2021 in collaboration with the Turkish Contractors Association, General Directorate of International Trade in Services at the Turkish Ministry of Trade, Board of Investment of Sri Lanka and Colombo Portcity management.

Ambassador M.R. Hassen speaking during the meeting said “I believe Sri Lanka has many opportunities in many sectors due to resilience attitude and naturally given resources. Any investors can grab the opportunities offered by Sri Lanka. That is why the Embassy initiated this forum”. Further the Ambassador thanked the current Turkish investors and contractors to select Sri Lanka and invited other prominent Turkish investors to explore the available untapped investment opportunities in Sri Lanka.

Mr. Erdal Eren, President of Turkish Contractors Association making his remarks highlighted the strength of Turkish investors and construction companies in global arena and invited them to use this opportunity to explore more potential in Sri Lanka. Mr. Murat Nesimoglu, Head of the Department of the General Directorate of International Trade in Services at the Turkish Ministry of Trade also addressed the gathering and invited Turkish contractors to look into Sri Lanka in more positive ways.

Mr. Prasanjith Wijayatilake, Executive Director of the Board of Investment and Ms. Yamuna Jayaratne, Director, Sales & Marketing of the Colombo Portcity Project shared the comprehensive presentations on available investment opportunities in Sri Lanka as whole and also at the Colombo Portcity project.
