Media Release : Pirith chanting and Alms giving ceremony in Ankara to celebrate 72nd Independence of Sri Lanka

The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Turkey, for the first time of the Mission history after establishment of the Embassy in Turkey organized alms-giving and Pirith Chanting ceremony coincide with the 72nd Independence of Sri Lanka on 5th of February 2020. Ven. Katuwana Siddhattha Tero, Chief Incumbent of Shakyamuni Viharaya, Rome, Italy flew from Rome to Ankara for this special event which held at the chancery premises.  After the Alms giving a chanting of Pirith and Dharma Deshanawa was conducted by Ven. Katuwana Siddhattha Tero. The staff of the Embassies of Thailand and Cambodia in Ankara joined with the staff of the Embassy of Sri Lanka for this meritorious event.
