Mission joins webinar with the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEİK) & Turkey - Sri Lanka Business Council

The Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEIK) in collaboration with the Turkey - Sri Lanka Business Council in Turkey which is headed by Mr. Başir Uğur, the owner of BETA Tea Limited, Turkey and Honorary Consul of Sri Lanka for the Mediterranean Region, Adana organized a virtual webinar on Thursday 26 th August, 2020.

Ambassador M. Rizvi Hassen, Ambassador of Turkey to Sri Lanka, HE Demet Sekercioglu and the representative of DEIK, Mr. Barkan Özgür, Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Volkan Yüzer, Regional Director, Ms. Selma Bardakçı, Regional Coordinator and the members of Business Council Mr. Ömer Tekdemir, Mr. Fatih Yücelik, Mr. Mahmut Uluer and Mr. Ahmet Yıldız joined the webinar. 

The members of the Business Council and the two Ambassadors’ discussed future trade and investment promotional activities in order to increase the trade volume and investment activities between Turkey and Sri Lanka. During the webinar also discussed challenges posed by Covid - 19 the pandemic and it’s affects to the business community. The Business Council Chairman Mr. Başir Uğur, indicated that, to continue with the webinar meetings in future as well.
