The current severe floods and landslides caused by heavy rains due to tropical cyclone Ditwah, have killed at least 56 people and injured many in Sri Lanka, as of today (28). While more than 40 people are still missing, more than 44,000 people have been displaced due to the prevailing adverse weather conditions, and the floods and landslides have caused extensive damage to the agricultural crops, housing and other infrastructure all over the country.
