VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE POST OF TRADE ASSISTANT

The Embassy of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in Ankara is looking for a highly motivated individual Turkish national for the post of Trade cum Consular Assistant. 

Post                     : Trade Assistant 

Type of contract: Full time on contract basis. 

Duty Station      : Embassy of Sri Lanka in Ankara

Qualifications and Experience

Knowledge and Skills 
  • Should be fluent in Turkish and English languages.
  • Ability to liaise with Turkish government entities, trade and tourism sector organizations, private sector and related Sri Lankan institutions effectively. 
  • Ability to work independently as well within a team; 
  • Knowledge in trade and commerce activities in Turkiye and international trade practices
  • Sound knowledge on Turkish economy and related political issues
  • Good public relations skills, IT skills
  • translation and interpretation skills; English to Turkish and vice versa.
  • Proactive work style and commitment 
  • Being able to make suggestions after market surveys to promote Sri Lankan products and services to the diplomat responsible for commercial matters
  • Knowledge of Ukrainian and Georgian languages could be an added advantage
  • Organizing skills
  • Ability to arrange and support delegations to trade events

Qualifications
  • Degree in the field of economics/management/marketing
  • IT related certificates 

Main Duties

Supporting the diplomatc Offcer handling commercial matters

Handling trade inquires and Monitoring economic / trade of Türkiye, Ukraine and Georgia.

 

Experience

Experience in similar field /work in the fields of International Marketing, International Trade or Investment.

Age 

Age between 25 - 40 years
